In its ongoing search to find new, safer and more cost-efficient working methods, Enigma supports innovation in the industrial cleaning branch. One example of these efforts is the first ADR suction excavator developed in the Netherlands.

ADR Suction Excavator
This unit was developed using special 3D design software in order to realise significant noise and weight reductions over previous designs. The machine’s most important advantages are the HI-Lift system (packaging in big-bags), the ADR-certified blower system, the low overall weight, the narrow turn circle and the reduction of the operational noise level under 80 dB(A). The arm, which was specially designed for this function, means that we can work safer and more efficiently. Which makes older, often unsafe excavation techniques unnecessary. This suction excavator can be used to remove dirt and/or liquids. The machine is ideally suited for ADR use in contamination situations up to classes S4AH and L4AH (3, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 6.2, 8 and 9).

Some of the main benefits of the ADR suction excavator include:

  • No personal contact with contaminated soil
  • Easy to use in hard-to-reach locations
  • Suction of solids or liquids (including heavy clay)
  • A large 14m³ stainless steel product tank
  • Product stowage in containers and big-bags
  • The suction arm can rotate 420º around the machine
  • Suction or blowing options

In contrast with other suction excavation installations, the units can also be used for industrial pressure/vacuum applications. It is equally capable of sucking up dry substances such as cement, fly ash, blasting grit and powders, as it is of dealing with liquids and thick slurries.
