In line with our motto ‘Standardise what can be standardised and specify what needs to be specified, we have fully mapped out our work processes and standardised the general processes. These processes have been described to such a degree that they can be applied to any project. In doing so, we can guarantee quality, safety, health and the environment. After all, if all parties involved know what their role is and what their duties are, then the foundation for a smoothly running project has been laid.

Our QSHE department works closely with our employees to link processes and implementation in order to anchor the Deming circle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) in our activities. The quality manual is constantly updated based on new insights into procedures as tested in real-life situations.

But quality is not only a matter of excellent procedures. What kind of attitude best helps people to abide by the procedures and safety instructions in practice? Working in complex conditions requires people to act as professionals. A professional feels responsible for everything he is doing and actively participates in a project; he knows the dynamics of the team, anticipates and complements his colleagues when necessary. A team full of professionals works like a well-oiled machine.

To promote and maintain this level of professionalism, Enigma has worked together with Compass and Geerdink to found the Academy. In our Academy, we build on pride and professionalism and we improve our employees’ expertise, skills and competencies.

CERTIFICATION

In the process of reviewing and optimising our work processes, we have formalised excellent procedures that meet the minimum standards of the following norms and guidelines.

Enigma also is a member of the Industrial Cleaning Foundation (SIR) and has permits to collect waste and shipping waste, as well as OVAM registration and European permit for professional transport. Enigma is an accredited training company.

“IK” CULTURE PROGRAM

Enigma considers the improvement of quality, attaining maximum safety and the optimal care for health and the environment as a continuous process. Our employees must be constantly aware of them, in part because we must set an example for all involved parties.

We have therefore set up the ‘IK’ (Dutch for ‘I’) corporate culture program. The program revolves around raising awareness and personal development to anchor safety, health and environmental awareness in our employees through intrinsic motivation.

The IK corporate culture program places a high priority on personal safety, quality work and commitment to our client’s success. In addition to professional issues, we address behaviour and culture. Our core values are:

  • Safety: I work safely or I don’t work
  • Quality: I sat what I do and I do what I say
  • Commitment: I help influence the client’s success
